To give of one’s self: to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived…this is to have succeeded. Ralph Waldo Emerson

Botched Paramilitary Police Raids:
An interactive map of botched SWAT and paramilitary police raids, released in conjunction with the Cato policy paper "Overkill: The Rise of Paramilitary Police Raids," by Radley Balko.
I found this map to be really informative and kinda scary. Check it out.

Vicksbird...
Michael Vick, QB of the not-doing-so-great Atlanta Falcons expressing his emotions to his booing fans.
Same fans contribute heavily to M. Vick's nine million dollar per annum salary. Thats $9M per year.
The guard there is thinking: "oooo Mike, maybe you ought not do that."
Heres the story.

Some disturbing photos...
This site depicts some scenes that some of you more faint hearted folks will not like. Most photos here are very disturbing. I stumbled into this site by following some blog links when this picture popped up. It took me aback as did the other photos on the site.

Our boys in Iraq
These guys, in harms way 24/7, still have a sense of humor.
Who can't laugh at Kerry? What a jackass or maybe just dumb. I think he has revealed his contempt and low opinion of our military. Not a good thing for someone with presidential aspirations.
His Democratic managers must think so also. They have sent him home to sit out this election.
