To give of one’s self: to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived…this is to have succeeded. Bebe's tree adventure
Wednesday, our new kitten Bebe decided to chase birds and, of course, got her self marooned in the upper branches of this tree. First tree and first bird for the baby. She was up about four feet from the top the ladder. Tried some tricks to get her down to no avail. Sooooo, your blogger goes up the ladder.
To say that retrieving a crying and scared kitten from about fifty feet (well it was pretty high anyway) up a tree is difficult is an understatement. I have a new appreciation for the phrase "out on a limb".
Ahh the pleasures of pet ownership.
