Sam's latest album. He has a MySpace account where you can go and listen to four of the songs. He did White Bird, an old sixties (?) song by Its a Beautiful Day. Really nice.On Sam's website are fan submitted pics, like the one at top right from years ago with New Grass Revival.

Yet another reason to love Sam. As if I needed one. Currently my favorite version of White Bird.
I'd love to be able to catch a few more of his gigs. I still listen to a little New Grass almost daily. Havent found anything as timeless in its ability to lift my spirits. Maybe its the brief brush we had with him during the early days. I've never forgotten him boiling strings in the kitchen or having more instruments than furniture in that little house on Delaware. He really seemed to work hard to get where he is. Dispite being from Kentucky he sort of epitomizes Nashville for me. Everytime I see him on TV I sort of feel a connection to home.
I wonder what ever happened to Kathy?
